peonies and new stuff...

Just when I had cleared that dining table and thought I couldn't possible sew another thread after our big fete, along came a friend and now were cooking up a new venture so watch this space. And I couldn't help myself, my absolute all time favourite flowers are in season, don't you just love a peony rose...

Finally it's over!

Well, it has finally been and gone and our school fete turned out to be a fantastic day for all. A beautiful sunny Melbourne day with a big crowd and record fundraising which all translates to improvements to the school for our kids.
The craft stall was a great success and there was a lot of weary mums and dad's at the end of the day (and still tired just quietly) but all worth it as both the kids and our community soaked up the lovely atmosphere.
Job well done by all involved, now next year...

organized chaos...

As you can see from these pic's there are some things ready and packed to go and then there is just a whole other room full of stuff!!! This is also one of my favorite boys tee's that I've done for the fete.

What's this tops "fete"...

Made this for the fete and tried it on little miss but kind a liked it, guess I could make another but not likely!

Fete day fast approaches...

OK folks, I have not stepped away from the sewing machine except for Spotlight trips and desperate runs to the IGA for toot roll and I haven't really got time to be doing this so I'm just going to hit you all with a heap of photo's of stuff I have been making for the school fete in case you want a squiz or maybe you can drop in for a look. Next Sunday (24th) St Paul's in Bentleigh, VIC.

Getting back into it...

OK I've finally found the desire to begin this blog again as I was inspired by some new design's and my handsome boy looking stylish in a t/shirt made by mum and my little Pirate princess, just wonder how much longer I will be able to get them into "homemade" clothes.

Here in Bentleigh, we are preparing for our big school Fete in about 4 weeks and I have a lot of catching up to do! My very clever friend Paula from the beautiful "Nilly Designs" on Madeit and I are doing some funky t/shirts together and these are the boys ones...And girls too if you're like me and love girls in things other than pink!

Finally,I am not re-opening my Madeit store at this point but may in the new year but I would like to thank everyone for their support and kind thoughts over what has been a very hard 12 months... enough said!
